A strong country must first have a strong agriculture; only when agriculture is strong can the nation be strong. The Central Rural Work Conference was held in Beijing from December 23 to 24. Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, President of the People’s Republic of China, and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, attended the conference and delivered an important speech, emphasizing that comprehensively advancing rural revitalization and accelerating the building of a strong agricultural country are strategic arrangements made by the Party Central Committee with a view to fully building a modern socialist country.
