Shanxi Zhongnong Chemical Biotechnology Co., Ltd.
Zhongnong Chemical Co., Ltd. was established in 2004, succeeding the state-owned Amino Acid Plant and the Hualong Compound Fertilizer Plant. It is one of the earliest comprehensive agrochemical enterprises in China, integrating production, research and development, sales, and technology promotion; it is also a national high-tech enterprise and a private science-and-technology enterprise in Shanxi Province. In December 2020, following a shareholding reform, the company was officially listed on the Innovation Board of the Shanxi Equity Exchange Center under the corporate code “060554E.” In 2021, the company invested RMB 300 million to build a new integrated water–fertilizer project, which includes a high-pressure spray granulation line for compound fertilizers, a production line for macronutrient water-soluble fertilizers, a liquid fertilizer production line, and a soil-conditioning agent production line. Upon completion, commissioning, and full operation of the project, it has revolutionized existing fertilizer-production technologies and filled a domestic market gap for the production of novel functional specialty fertilizers.
Shanxi Zhongnong Chemical Biotechnology Co., Ltd. operates three subsidiaries, six major production bases, five branch offices, and 23 operational centers and representative offices. Over more than two decades of development, the company has remained committed to the holistic nutrition approach to crop cultivation—“putting farmers’ needs first and delivering results that truly serve them.” Throughout its continuous growth, particularly during the current critical phase of transformation and upgrading, the company has, through practical exploration, established a comprehensive new model of socialized services that integrates year-round, “full-service, hands-on management” with straightforward, easy-to-implement technologies. This includes spring bud-promoting fertilizers, fruit-expansion and color-enhancing fertilizers, autumn basal fertilization, and winter pruning. It prioritizes technical service as the cornerstone of its operations, leveraging service delivery to drive market expansion, and earnestly aligning product R&D and application with both Party and state policies and the responsibilities of a socially-oriented service provider.
